The GENNET City Fertility Team
Dr Malini Uppal
Dr Malini Uppal has over 20 years of experience working in fertility and assisted reproduction. She is the Medical Director at GENNET City Fertility and the true embodiment of “Where Excellence Meets Hope”. Dr. Uppal has worked across several NHS and private fertility units. Also, she is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and the British Fertility Society (BFS).
Dr. Uppal is passionate about providing high quality care to all patients, including those seeking support in the creation of a modern family. You will meet Dr. Uppal for your first consultation. During the appointment, your medical history, fertility history, and your wishes for treatment will be discussed and planned. This is a highly important step in creating individualised and holistic care plans that are considerate of the medical, emotional, and legal implications of surrogacy treatment.
After this initial consultation Dr. Uppal will oversee all of your treatment from beginning to end. This ensures that no stone is left unturned on the way to finding the treatment which works for you and providing the best possible care at every step.
Michelle McGinley
Michelle is an NMC registered Senior Fertility Nurse and the Nurse Manager at GENNET City Fertility. She is currently a member of the Senior Infertility Nurse Group (SING), the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), BFS, and the Royal College of Nursing (RCN). She has been working in the specialised area of assisted reproduction since 2011, in a variety of clinic settings across London. Prior to this she obtained experience in many areas of general adult nursing, having qualified as a nurse in 2003. She has a special interest in surrogacy and donation and helping to create modern families.
Michelle oversees the nurse team for all treatment cycles, including surrogacy and donation cycles for our patients; giving guidance, support and advice to staff and patients; and – overall – helping to bring people through what can be an emotional and complex journey. The process involves screening and ensuring informed consent is achieved for all parties, treatment planning, and supporting patients through their journey from Nurse Consultation to (hopefully) eventual conception. Implications Counselling, Support Counselling, and holistic support is important throughout the process. This support is actively encouraged at all stages of treatment.
Karin Flyckt
Karin joined GENNET City Fertility in 2014 and became the Admin Egg Donor Coordinator in 2019. She is the point of contact for patients from the start of their journey. Her responsibilities include assisting recipients during the egg donor matching process. This is done by helping to book their appointments, and guiding patients throughout the process.
Karin understands the fertility journey can be stressful, so she takes pride in her ability to help make the experience as smooth as possible. Her enthusiasm is immediately apparent to all who step through the clinic’s doors. Patients feel well-supported and in the safest hands when they decide to take the next step on their fertility journey.
